Today's podcast is a day late after Caroline and I went to Rutland on Friday for the wedding of our friends Piers and Diana. Piers is Richard's godfather. They've gone on a walking holiday in Slovenia for their honeymoon. The food at the reception was fabulous: just look.
Yesterday we drove back, about 160 miles, looking at Rutland Water on the way, then deciding not to stop in Stamford given the hordes of people there in the heat of the day. So we got home in time to see it become 40 years of hurt.
And with that, to the music. Today's show starts with Cry No More by Graystar. Graystar are from Edinburgh, Scotland, and their Album "A Million Pieces" is due to be released in August 2006.
I played Never Never Land by Brown Bag Special in podcast no 1. I've taken that podcast down, so it's now a collectors' item, exchanging hands for large amounts of cash on eBay (I wish!). I digress: this is an excellent song by a four piece from Tucson, Arizona.
I first heard the Hotrod Cadets on the tartanpodcast more than a year ago. My Heart Sinks is a great pop song from their album Breaking Up. The Cadets have another album out any time now. I'll bring news when I have some.
The last 2 songs were by Id Guinness, from Vancouver, Canada. Id Guinness is a fan of Roxy Music. He is also an excellent songwriter. The songs I played are The One That Got Away and Rising River. Id Guiness also has an album out later this year, Cure For The Common Crush, so if you liked these songs keep an eye on his website.

I'm very jealous of your friends and their walking holiday in Slovenia ! I hope they have an amazing time - there's some stunning scenery and great walks there.
ID Guinness - I'll raise a glass to him ! He was my favourite selection from this week. I'm a sucker for great guitar soloing, especially when they sound like Dave Gilmour or Jeff Beck's work on Roger Waters' "Amused To Death".
Good to hear the Alastair Bishop again; I've not listened to the Hotrod Cadets CD for a while and I'm really looking forward to their new album when it sees the light of day.
