Happy Birthday!
A cracker of a show with a few of my favourites from 2006 and not just from your podcasts.
Eisenhowers, Electrum and Kasino have been on the iPod regularly.
A great show and what a fantastic idea requesting favourites was.
Here's to many more EL podcasts.
What a cracking show and an amazing selection from the listeners. I have a feeling that Andrea Gerak may get an order for her CD as I'd forgotten just how haunting that song was. I fell in love with that vocal style when Deep Forest used it on Boheme, and when Kate Bush used it on an album whose title escapes me for the moment.
I loved Pete'n'Dud in the pub - they should have their own show. Maybe you could offer production services in exchange for some pints and the odd pub meal ?!
Gerald - you deserve a part in Dr Who with a voice like that... I almost hid behind the sofa when you came on ;-)
Mrs Gabor - what a lovely voice. Time you gagged your husband and did the talking every week. To quote Billy Connolly - he has "a voice like a goose farting in the fog" !
Only joking, of course. Here's to many more years of TELP. My Mondays wouldn't be the same without it - I'm off to listen again as the playlist is a classic which should be made required listening for any novice podcast listener.
Hey Gabor, congratulations on your anniversary. Here's to many more :)
I've had this show on my laptop for about a month and finally got around to listening to it ... better late than never, I suppose. Some great stuff (as usual) and some amusing contributions. The Boo Hewerdine song, in particular, is fantastic. Congrats again, Gabor. Here's to the next hundred.
