On 13 December 2008 I had a long conversation with Raymond Weir of bands Gum and The Eisenhowers. I have played a number of songs by both bands previously. In this podcast you can hear me talking to Raymond, who has a lot of interesting things to say. It was a fun conversation, and I only used about half of what was recorded. I also play 6 songs:
- Chinese Whispers, by The Eisenhowers
- Try Stopping Me Now, by Gum
- Asleep At The Wheel, by Gum
- Mr & Mrs Frankenstein, acoustic version played by Raymond (many thanks to Mark Hunter of the tartanpodcast for letting me use his recording)
- 1969, by The Eisenhowers
- Icarus Succumbs, by The Eisenhowers
Websites:
- Serali (to buy music)
- Gum (myspace)
- The Eisenhowers
- - myspace
The title music is by Tragic Shell Suit Disaster.

Thanks for the interview, Gabor ... I really enjoyed it. Your little graphic has also captured that 'Mussolini' look that I've been working on. Well ... they say image is everything, these days.
I used photoshop to play around with a picture of Ike himself!
